Agreement
These terms apply to your use of LedgerWise, published by Unsel Studio, a trading name of Unsel Consultancy Ltd, registered in England and Wales. LedgerWise is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement; these terms add to it and, where they differ, Apple’s agreement governs your licence. A tool, not advice
LedgerWise helps you keep records and shows calculations based on what you enter and on the HMRC rates built into the app for each tax year. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and its figures are estimates. It does not file anything with HMRC or Companies House. You remain responsible for your records, your tax returns, your filings and your deadlines. For decisions that matter, take advice from a qualified accountant.
Your records
Your records belong to you. They are stored on your devices and, if you turn synchronisation on, in your own iCloud account under Apple’s terms. We cannot see, recover or restore them for you, so keep regular backups (Settings → Backup & Restore) and check imported or synchronised data before relying on it.
Trial, subscription and purchases
LedgerWise can be used free for 30 days from your first download. Exporting reports, and adding or editing records after the trial, need the yearly auto-renewing subscription or the one-time lifetime purchase, offered in the app at the price shown in the App Store. Purchases are made through Apple, billed to your Apple Account and covered by Apple’s Media Services Terms. The subscription renews automatically each year unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. If a subscription lapses, your records are not deleted and stay viewable.
Using the app properly
Use LedgerWise only for lawful purposes and only with information you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
Intellectual property
LedgerWise, its design and its content belong to Unsel Consultancy Ltd. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed on the Licences page.
Availability and changes
We work to keep LedgerWise reliable, but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors or always available, or that synchronisation through iCloud, which is provided by Apple, will never be interrupted. We may update, change or stop features of the app.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, data or savings, arising from your use of LedgerWise, including decisions made on the basis of its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
